A Yew wood high back Windsor Chair

A early Nineteenth century Nottinghamshire, high backĀ  Windsor chair made in Yew with a Elm seat, raised on elaborately turned legs united by a crinoline stretcher, the chair has a lovely colour and is in wonderful condition, possibly made in Rockley or Worksop. Circa 1840.

43″ (190cn) tall X 22″ wide (56cm)

This style of Windsor chair is synonymous with this area of Nottinghamshire and notable makers include the J Gabbitas, W Allsop B Gilling and F Walker.
