Regency Elm Tilt Top Table

A rare small Regency Elm tilt top table, the single-piece dished top supported on a turned column with swept legs, having a good colour and patina. Circa 1820 – 1830.

This Regency elm tilt-top table exemplifies the elegance and practicality of early 19th-century English design. Crafted from richly grained elm wood, the table features a round top that can be tilted vertically for easy storage. Supported by a central pedestal and three splayed legs, often with finely turned details, this piece reflects the Regency era’s emphasis on refined form and functionality. Its warm elm finish and graceful profile make it both a functional and decorative piece, suitable for a range of interiors.
