Yew Wood High Back Windsor Chair

An early Nineteenth Century Nottinghamshire, Yew wood high back Windsor chair with an Elm seat. This Yew wood high back Windsor chair is raised on elaborately turned legs united by a crinoline stretcher. The chair has a lovely colour and is in wonderful condition, possibly made in Rockley or Worksop. Circa 1840.

43″ (190cn) tall X 22″ wide (56cm)

This style of Windsor chair is synonymous with this area of Nottinghamshire and notable makers include the J Gabbitas, W Allsop B Gilling and F Walker.
